Absorbable Medical disposable Plain catgut surgical suture thread with needles for hospital use


Description:

1. Catgut suture a natural absorbable suture and is obtained by longitudinally slitting the intestinal submucosa of sheep and goat, twisting the ribbons and joining them in wet condition giving monofilament finish.

2. Catgut plain sutures are absorbed by enzymatic hydrolysis and starts loosing tensile strength from 12-15 days on implantation.

3. Catgut plain sutures are absorbed extremely fast and elicit very minimal tissue reaction.

4. Catgut plain sutures are available in undyed (ivory colour) form. Sterilized by sterilizing fluid containing Gamma.

 the serosal layer of beef(bovine) or the submucosal 

fibrous layer of sheep(ovine) intestines
