Test moulds, on the other hand, should be considered in order to validate manufacturing feasibilities and eliminate potential problems before investing into expensive serial moulds. Test moulds are normally built with soft steel or even aluminum, single cavity, and they can be completed in a few weeks and at much less cost, but are good enough for a few thousand shots.
